With this substantially modified GT3 racer, McLaren shows us what it can do with a 720S when ‘road-legal’ is not a requirement.
The car’s four-liter twin-turbo power unit continues to slam the wheels with 720 PS (710 hp / 529 kW), but you can push a Boost button for a short-lived jump to 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW).
The monocoque cabin has been redesigned to accommodate a co-pilot’s seat. Elsewhere, the track weapon rocks a new front splitter, a larger rear wing, a reshaped diffuser, and plenty of other improvements.
McLaren claims that the GT3X is faster than the original GT3 without providing any concrete numbers.
