McLaren unveils two unique custom-made 720S

Two McLaren clients, whose identity is being kept secret, have ordered their cars styled in unique ways. Both projects were carried out by McLaren Special Operations.

The first vehicle received what the company called the “Track Theme”. It sports Anniversary White body lacquering with sporty-looking black and orange stripes running along it – similar to what McLaren racecars wore in the 1980s. The interior finishing involves natural chamois leather and occasional satin-carbon decorative elements. It also has racing-grade safety belts fastened to ultra-durable titanium framework.

The other one, “Pacific Theme”, comes with its body painted an appropriate Cerulean Blue tint. There are occasional navy-blue stripes to be seen, and the hood, the air intakes, the mirror holders and the roof are all light-blue carbon.

From the mechanical aspect, neither the McLaren Track Theme nor the McLaren Pacific Theme are any different from the series-produced 720S. Both come equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 turbocharged engine coupled with a 7-speed DCT box and capable of 720 hp (537 kW). Both accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in mere 2.9 seconds and may ultimately climb past 340 km/h (211 mph).

McLaren Special Operations did not mention any prices.
