Car tuning atelier Novitec has released an upgrade package for the British McLaren 720S sport coupe. The upgrade improves the performance of the car as well as its looks.
The production vehicle ships with a turbocharged engine rated at 720 hp (537 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lb·ft), partnered with a 7-speed DCT. The Upgrade Level 1 brings its performance up 53 hp to a total of 773 hp / 576 kW. The Level 2 takes it further to 791 hp / 590 kW. The third and final upgrade maxes out at 601 hp / 447 kW. The torque raises to 849 Nm (626 lb·ft), 863 Nm (637 lb·ft), and 878 Nm (648 lb·ft), respectively.
To achieve these results, Novitec proposes the installation of an engine firmware update and a new exhaust system. Once fully upgraded, the coupe accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.7 seconds, which is 0.2s faster than the unmodded McLaren 720S can do.
Apart from the performance package, the atelier has also devised a carbon body kit for the car, but no specifics are being provided regarding it at the moment.
Extras include lowered suspension, wheel centering rings, and original 20” and 21” wheel sets.
The company said nothing regarding the price of the package.
