The McLaren Artura GT4 is a racecar based on the road-legal Artura (see video), minus the electric motor.
Deleting the hybrid system and swapping the 8-speed DCT for a 7-speed transmission enabled the manufacturer to reduce the weight of the track-focused GT4 by 130 kilograms (286 lbs) compared to its ‘civilian’ counterpart.
The new Artura also comes equipped with a new front splitter, a ventilated hood, canards and an adjustable rear wing. Other notable features include a Bosch dashboard display, configurable pedals, a rear LSD, and a driver’s seat like in the 720S GT3.
The McLaren Artura GT4 will soon show what it is capable of during the hill climb race at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Racing teams are already invited to make pre-orders starting from £200,000.
