A video has recently cropped up on YouTube with a McLaren Gran Tourer sprinting from standstill to 200 km/h (0-124 mph). The manufacturer claims the car needs nine seconds flat for that, but is it true?
The car comes equipped with a powerful 4.0-liter V8 TT capable of 620 hp (462 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft), with 95% of torque available from 3000 RPM onwards. Pre-selective DCT transmission enables the GT to fly from nothing to 100 km/h (62 mph) in mere 3.2 seconds, despite its impressive 570 liters (20.1 cubic feet) of trunk space.
