Lanzante unveils a long-tailed McLaren P1 GT

The British car design atelier Lanzante has come out with a special rendition of the McLaren P1 GT hypercar featuring an elongated rear part – just like that of the 1990 F1 GTR. The car was a custom job upon request of a Middle East client.

The engineer team took the McLaren P1 GT racecar as base. In its front part, they installed new fenders with slits for the air intakes, and an aerodynamic splitter. In the back, they mounted a diffusor, a massive wing and a new exhaust system with four pipes.

Lanzante never revealed any further technical details about the vehicle. The production vehicle comes equipped with a hybrid drivetrain consisting of a 3.8-liter V8 turbo engine and several electric motors. Its total power output equals 1,000 hp (745 kW). Driven by it, the vehicle accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.5 seconds and can go beyond 360 km/h when riding in a straight line.
