A virtually unused McLaren Speedtail is set to break through £1,000,000 in the UK thanks to its uniqueness and pristine condition. The company made only 106 such vehicles, personalizing each one in accordance with the clients’ wishes.
This is an example number 97 with under 600 km (370 miles) on the odo. It wears a Burton Blue exterior paint with a black top and carbon fiber décor. The interior uses the same shades in its dual-tone leather trim: the middle seat is black, while the rear seats are dark blue.
Pricing details are only disclosed to interested buyers. A couple of years ago, a similar vehicle with slightly less on the counter was put up for sale for $5,400,000 USD. In January 2021, another Speedtail found a new owner for $3,277,500 USD.
The hypercar debuted four years ago, becoming an ideological successor-of-sorts to the legendary McLaren F1. Similarities between the two include the interior layout, the steering wheel, the dashboard and the driver’s seat in the middle.
It was also the marque’s fastest car when it debuted, hitting its speed ceiling at 403 km/h (250 miles per hour). A four-liter V8 and an electric system drive the wheels for a total of 1,050 PS (1,036 hp / 772 kW).
