McLaren has only produced 106 Speedtail supercars, and one of them is now looking for a new owner willing to part with $2.8 - $3.0 million.
It is the example number 87 assembled two years ago. Aside from just being extremely rare, it is also nearly pristine with only 443 kilometers (275 miles) under its belt.
The exterior is finished in light blue, mirroring the semi-aniline leather trim in the interior. The driver’s seat is mounted in the middle of the front row, with two passenger seats behind it.
A handful of dashboard displays make the cabin look like a fighter jet cockpit. There are five in total, including two substituting for side mirrors. A closer look at the sides reveals special aerodynamic elements covering the front wheels.
A four-liter, twin-turbo V8 under the hood receives assistance from an electric motor to hit the wheels with 1,050 PS (1,036 hp / 772 kW) by means of a seven-speed DCT with pre-selection. The top speed amounts to 403 km/h, or 250 miles per hour.
A similar Speedtail with the serial number 97 and 600 km (404 miles) of use on it cropped up on sale in the UK in early April. The ad remains posted with no asking price. That car is predominantly blue with black roof and interior.
