Meet Burnside, a comfy Teardrop camper with a twist

Larger motorhomes have their indisputable advantages – you can basically turn one into a spacious apartment with luxury fit and finish and every imaginable modern amenity on board. But for the more budget-minded of us, trailers present an appealing alternative. One such has just been released by Aero Teardrops, from Oregon.

Called The Burnside, the camper has the traditional ‘teardrop’ shape – body at the rear, rounded at the front. Its main selling point is a giant bed for two with enough overhead space to stand up.

Other noteworthy features include numerous storage opportunities, a kitchen area, abundant lighting all around, a cooling fan, a 12V battery for appliances, and multiple power sockets and USB ports. Paying extra replaces the fan with an air conditioner and introduces central heating, making the camper usable throughout the year. Solar batteries, a roof rack, a camping tent and many other things are also listed under options.

Prices start as low as $14,559, but rise to around $20,000 with all boxes ticked.
