Deus Automobiles has published a series of teasers that tell us much about its upcoming supercar, the Vayanne (pronounced as ‘vee-ahn’). The electric coupe shall debut at the New York International Auto Show on April 13, 2022.
The name references Vienna, the capital of Austria where Deus HQ is situated. Williams Advanced Engineering and Italdesign also participate in the project.
Judging by the teasers, the supercar has rather smooth, flowing outlines with a giant air intake in the front clip, which is rather atypical for EVs. Air intakes are commonly found on ICE cars where they are mainly used for engine cooling. Then again, perhaps there is some other purpose we don’t know about.
Other notable features include vaguely Porsche-like headlights and a hood cover with an air vent and a U-shaped crease. Nothing has been revealed revealed about the cabin or the drivetrain until now.
