Meet Helixx Cargo, a wallet-friendly commercial van held together by glue

UK-based Helixx Industries Ltd has presented Helixx Cargo, an affordable electric van concept scheduled for mass production in 2024.

The vehicle is only 3.2 meters (10.5 feet) long and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) wide. Its cargo area is 140 cm (54.7 inches) long and has 2,100 liters (74.1 cubic feet) of usable space. The nominal load capacity is 500 kilograms, or 1,100 lbs.

Curiously enough, the whole body is 3D-printed from a pre-colored material and assembled using latches and glue. The company claims to welding or finishing is necessary.

The one thing that remains unclear is how powerful the van is. Instead, Helixx reveals that operating the Cargo costs as little as $0.25 per hour.

The cabin is minimalist with a single touchscreen display offering access to most in-car functions and very little besides.
