Meet Nilu27, a hypercar with a redline at 11k RPM

Nilu27, a niche car manufacturing company founded by famous designer Alexander Selipanov, has shared some info regarding its first production model. It will debut at the Pebble Beach event in mid-August wearing Michelin Cup 2 R tires and sporting an analog tachometer with the gauge notched as far up as 13,000 RPM.

You can see it for yourself on one of the teaser pics here. The tachometer gauge is not digital, but stylized with a 3D effect and individually backlit parts. The redline is at a cool 11,000 revolutions per minute, while the theoretical limit is 2,000 RPM above that.

We still don’t know what kind of engine the hypercar will take to the track, but everything points to a purpose-built naturally aspirated mill. Other than that, we are told that the interior will do without large touchscreens and displays, which are ubiquitous nowadays but not always appreciated by owners.

The second and final teaser pic revealed thus far shows a rear wheel shod in a 325/30 ZR21 Michelin semi-slick tire. This particular tire model is rated for speeds up to 300 km/h (186 mph). Note also the centerlock – it’s definitely a track weapon.
