Carlex Design unveils a luxury take on the Mercedes 230 SL

The Mercedes 230 SL Gen. W113 rightfully counts among the most beautiful cars to have ever been produced by the German marque. Its main trademark feature is a pagoda-like roof design that came out in the 1960s, but remains a pleasure to look at to this day. Carlex Design has recently revealed a lush redesign of the car’s interior.

The entire passenger space is trimmed with dual-tone brown leather, stitched in a way that used to be popular a long time ago. The same leather upholstery extends to the door panels, the floor mats and even the trunk area behind the seats.

The interior also sports occasional metal and natural wood inserts. The center armrest, the gear stick, the wheel rim and the sun visors show great care and attention to detail.

The atelier never mentioned the price of the upgrade.
