There has been many interesting premieres at the recently closed SEMA Show in Las-Vegas, but this car was easily among the most intriguing. Many people mistook it for a 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL restomod before realizing that it was a replica. As it turned out, tuner S Klub built the car based on the modern Mercedes-Benz SLK 32 AMG.
It took six months for the company to finish the job. The end result looks good, if a bit controversial. On the outside, the car sports an elegant grey paintjob, an elongated hood part, retro-style headlights and a set of 17-inch HRE wheels. The interior, however, is a bit gaudy, with too much vivid-blue leather and velour used throughout. The standard Mercedes-Benz SLK 32 AMG dashboard and center console also spoil the impression.
In the engine bay, the replica holds a supercharged AMG V6 capable of 400 hp (298 kW) after some chip tuning.
