The motor show in Frankfurt continues surprising with new products. So the company Mercedes-Benz presented its first pick-up X-Class, which became a production car. As it became known, X-Class is a joint creation of German designers and their French colleagues from Renault, which, of course, affected the car. The X-Class has a common platform with Renault Alaskan and Nissan Navara.
According to the company's representatives, the base version of the car has a 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel with a capacity of 163 "horsies" under the hood. However, for those who are willing to spend a little more money to buy this car than the purchasers of the basic version, the same engine will be available, but with an additional turbine, which increases the power to 190 hp.
The pickup from Mercedes differs a good load-carrying capacity - to 1 ton. But the X-Class can tow 3.5 tons. The basic version of the car will be rear-wheel drive, and more powerful and expensive cars will receive a full drive.
