G-Wagon’s little brother debuts on video

Mercedes-Benz has posted the first video featuring its upcoming new SUV called the GLB. The G-Wagon’s smaller sibling will celebrate its live premiere during a special event in Utah, USA, in just a few days from now. It will also be featured at the 2019 International Motor Show in Frankfurt, Germany, in September.

The Mercedes-Benz GLB is based on the concept car of the same name and has three seat rows that can accommodate up to seven people. The back row can be folded down 40/20/40.

As far as the chassis is concerned, the car will be produced based on the MFA architecture of the latest Mercedes A-Class and GLA.

Rumor has it the newcomer will ship with an assortment of gasoline and diesel four-cylinder engines rated between 160 and 300 hp (119 – 224 kW). An AMG version will definitely be present, and a hybrid (gas + electric) variant is possible as well.

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB will feature adaptive shocks, air suspension, a self-driving system borrowed from the latest S-Class, a digital dashboard, and an MBUX infotainment system.
