The German automotive giant has rolled out an updated version of its Marco Polo Activity campervan, complete with a new engine and air suspension.
The AirMatic kit will go on sale in October 2020. The van will automatically lower itself by 10 mm (0.2 inches) when driving above 100 km/h (62 mph) or in Sports Mode. When traversing rough terrain, you will be able to lift the suspension by up to 35 mm (1.4 inches).
Unlike its predecessor shown in the video, the new Marco Polo Activity boasts a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder diesel rated at 239 hp (178 kW). The unit consumes 6.6 liters of fuel on average per 100 kilometers traveled (UK: 43 MPG, USA: 36 MPG). Sprinting from zero to 100 km/h succeeds in 7.7 seconds, and the top speed exceeds 200 km/h (124 mph). The low-end diesels ranging between 101 and 188 hp (75 – 140 kW) are still available, though. Transmissions include manual and nine-speed automatic, and customers may choose any drive they like (FWD, RWD or AWD).
