Tischer, a German company primarily specializing in pickup customization, has unveiled its latest camper van conversion project – specifically, one based on the Mercedes-Benz X-Class pickup truck.
The van will officially premiere at the CMT Exhibition in Stuttgart, Germany on January 13, 2018. Until then, we have some photos to go by.
The Mercedes-Benz X-Class pickup turns into a camper van thanks to a special add-on installed on its body and roof. With an added height of almost two meters (6 ft.), it is rather bulky – but for a good reason. It can accommodate two beds, a shower cabin, a mini-kitchen with a stove, and other things commonly found in recreational vehicles.
Interestingly, Tischer has also announced the forthcoming release of a more compact modification of the van. The so-called VanEssa module shouldn’t exceed the normal dimensions of the car when folded up.
Tischer had earlier released camper van modifications for such cars as the Volkswagen Amarok, Land Rover Defender, Nissan Navara, Toyota Hilux, and some others.
