The German car manufacturer Mercedes has officially renounced the participation in the next year’s North American Motor Show in Detroit, U.S.A. A company representative has stated that this became necessary to keep the future model releases and participation in automotive events in due sync with each other.
It should be noted that Daimler AG, part of which Mercedes is, allows its members to make their own, independent decisions on which events they attend and how.
Fans of the brand don’t need to feel down, however. Mercedes is only going to be skipping the first major auto show of 2019; there will be quite a lot of time for loud premieres and big reveals in the remaining part of the year.
The main organizer of the Detroit Auto Show has stressed that the event won’t be any less important or interesting just because of an empty place where the Mercedes booth should be. There will still be a large number of intriguing premieres and presentations showcasing some of the latest products and achievements in the automotive world.
