Senior management of Daimler AG has announced a forthcoming special release of Mercedes-Benz and Smart cars purpose-built for the German Police. The automotive concern will debut these vehicles at the specialized trade show GPEC-2018 starting in Frankfurt tomorrow.
From what little we know about the pending reveal, there’s going to be a Mercedes-Benz X-Class pickup truck as well as special editions of Sprinter and Vito Tourer. Apart from these gasoline-powered vehicles, there’s going to be a hybrid GLC 350e 4Matic SUV.
From the other side, a Smart ForTwo, a Smart ForTwo Cabrio, and a Smart ForFour are all going to presented at the trade fair.
Daimler denied any kind of technical commentary but stated that all the vehicles are fully equipped to meet the requirements of the German law enforcement authorities, sport the police car livery and roof-mounted strobe lights.
