The Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow is a one-of-a-kind roadster concept

Mercedes-Benz came to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with a single-seat roadster concept car titled the EQ Silver Arrow.

The vehicle exists in a single copy and is based on the W125 Rekordwagen sport car the company built in the 1930s. In 1938, the vehicle set an absolute speed record by accelerating to 432.69 km/h (268.86 mi) on a regular highway.

The Silver Arrow concept utilizes the new MEA architecture Mercedes-Benz designed specifically for all-electric cars. It has a completely flat bottom for optimal distribution of traction battery cells. It sports a carbon-fiber body with silvery lacquering which mimics that of its antecedent.

The concept car only has one seat and features luxurious interior trimming with much natural wood and leather used throughout. There are two color displays, one built into the sport wheel and the other acting as the digital dashboard.

The car packs an electric drivetrain with almost 740 hp (552 kW). According to Mercedes-Benz, its driving range corresponds to 400 kilometers (250 miles).

Whether the EQ Silver Arrow concept will ever make it into series is undecided at the moment, but it is certain that some of its design elements will be adopted by mass-produced models. In particular, this concerns the two LED stripes – the light-blue one connecting the headlights and the red one between the taillights.
