Mercedes-Benz keeps teasing us before the premiere of its all-electric SUV model called the EQC. We’ve already seen some teaser pics showing the front and the rear of the vehicle, and today we may finally throw a glance at its interior.
Then again, the car celebrates its live debut in Stockholm on September 4, 2018, so perhaps it is worth waiting for the big reveal before drawing any conclusions. After all, we still don’t have any technical specs on it. Rumors say it will ship with the same engine configuration as the Generation EQ Concept (two electric motors, 408 hp / 306 kW total output, 500 km / 310 mi driving range), but of course this isn’t official.
Reportedly, the manufacturer had to build and test over 100 development mules before settling on the final design. The tests occurred in the most extreme weather conditions, with temperatures ranging between -35°С…+50°С (-31°F…122°F). The development mules have covered a total distance of around 1,000,000 km (~620,000 mi) on four continents.
The production should begin in 2019.
