Mercedes-Benz EQC detailed specs revealed

German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has premiered the EDC, its first mass-produced all-electric SUV model.

The car is 4,761 mm (15.62 ft.) long, 1,884 mm (6.18 ft.) wide and 1,624 mm (5.33 ft.) tall with 2,873 mm (9.43 ft.) between the axles. It is powered by two electric motors with 408 hp (304 kW) total output, accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5 seconds and ultimately reaches 180 km/h.

An 80 kWh battery set is manufacturer-rated for a driving range of around 450 kilometers.

The Mercedes-Benz EQC features a regenerative brake system which can work in several modes. The most power-efficient mode virtually removes the need to brake, since the car begins to decelerate rapidly as soon as the driver releases the gas pedal.

On the inside, the SUV has an advanced infotainment system with voice control support, a remote-controlled air conditioner and an electronic dashboard.

The Mercedes-Benz EQC will enter production in the company’s Bremen facilities. First cars should roll to their respective owners early next year.
