Mercedes A-Class gets a dozen of engines to choose from

The fourth-generation Mercedes A-Class will be shipped with as many as 12 different engines to choose from. The statement was made by journalists who have recently had an opportunity to take the new car on a test drive.

The new hatchback premieres at the International Car Show in Geneva, Switzerland in March 2018. Only its most basic version, A160d, which comes with a 1.5-liter diesel motor, was made available for the test drive. The company announced, however, that the mass-produced car will come with four more diesel engines and five gasoline ones, as well as a hybrid unit, to choose from. Hi-end modifications A 35 and A 45 will be released at a later date with their own high performance engines.

Apart from the changes under the hood, the new Mercedes A-Class gets better suspension which makes it even more comfortable and steerable than ever before. Modifications made in the steering house result in considerable reduction of noise and vibration.
