The German premium automotive brand Mercedes-Benz has revealed a series of new photos and videos showcasing the next-generation A-Class hatchback.
The vehicle shed its test mule camouflage a week ago when the company announced its forthcoming presentation during a dedicated ceremony in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on February 2, 2018. An A-Class with a sedan body will also be introduced at a later date.
According to inside sources, the new A-Class hatchback uses an up-to-date version of the MFA chassis and looks a lot like the Mercedes-Benz CLS currently on the market – at least, on the front.
Industry-savvy people say the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class is likely to get a 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine jointly developed by Daimler and Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi. Other possible releases, considering the current industry trends, include a hybrid variant and a high-end AMG model.
