Hot: Mercedes-AMG A 35 4Matic debuts at last

Mercedes-AMG has finally taken the wraps off it’s A 35 4Matic sedan/saloon, the second car to take advantage of the new MFA chassis. Let us have a closer look at the details, shall we?

The hood cover of the new vehicle conceals a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine rated at 306 hp (228 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lbft) of torque. Coupled with a seven-speed DCT box and an AWD system, it takes the car from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds. The A 35 4Matic hatchback concludes the same sprint in 4.7s.

The four-door car now ships with 18-inch wheels by default, but you can order 19-inch ones instead if you prefer those. It features bucket seats, a digital dashboard, an MBUX infotainment system with voice control, a paddle shifter, and the Launch Control function. The center console of the car now also houses buttons that you can use to adjust sensitivity of the roll bars and stiffness of the shock absorbers.

The sedan ships with a standard AMG steering wheel, but you may pay extra to get a multi-function wheel with two displays on it. Further options include an aerodynamic kit consisting of an enormous front splitter, a spoiler and front bumper canards, and a virtual racing assistant that can keep track of 80+ various parameters during a racing event.
