Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC goes up to 376 hp by virtue of chip-tuning

Ahead of most other tuning companies, Mcchip-DKR has released an engine upgrade for the brand-new Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC (W177). What is on offer?

In its factory condition, the car comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine rated at 306 hp (228 kW) and 400 Nm (298 lb×ft) of torque. The Stage 1 ECU remap lifts the output by 35 hp (26 kW) and 100 Nm (74 lb×ft) or more. In particular, the car in the video demonstrates a beefy 376 hp (280 kW) alongside 506 Nm (373 lb×ft) of torque.

Go for the Stage 2 kit instead if you would like the 250 km/h (155 mph) speed limit removed completely. Both the sedan/saloon and the hatchback will then be able to accelerate all the way to approximately 285 km/h (177 mph), the tuner says.

As far as the standard sprint times are concerned, Mcchip-DKR only mentions that the 100-200 km/h (62-124 mph) acceleration now occurs 1.6 s faster than before. As for the 0-100 sprint, we would assume the tuned A35 AMG does it in around 4.4 s.
