mcchip-dkr suggests giving your Mercedes-AMG A 35 some extra kick

The Mercedes-AMG A 35 hatchback remains the strongest current-generation A-Class vehicle on the market until the A 45 debuts. In the meantime, mcchip-dkr has developed an ECU tune for the model that shows just what the No. 35 is capable of with its stock hardware, but a better system to guide it.

The production car ships with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 306 hp (228 kW) and 400 Nm (298 pound-feet) of torque. By reprogramming the engine control unit, the tuner squeezes it for an extra 35 hp (26 kW) along with 105 Nm (77 lb×ft) of torque. While this doesn’t seem too much, the surplus is reportedly still enough to reduce the 100-200 km/h (62-124 mph) sprint time by 1.6 s.

For an extra fee, mcchip-dkr will remove the car’s standard electronic speed limit at 250 km/h (15 mph). As a result, the top speed will amount to 285 km/h (177 mph).

Chances are good that we will be seeing new, more extensive power upgrades for the latest Mercedes-AMG A 35 soon.
