Hardly had we told you about an ECU tune that mcchip-dkr released for the Mercedes-AMG A 35 (W177), when DTE Systems came out with a similar upgrade.
The company’s trademark PowerControl RX module is plug-and-play, which means you plug it into your car and it just works, so no need to go to a service station. Once installed, it improves the power output of the standard 2.0-liter turbo-four engine from 306 hp (228 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb×ft) of torque to 338 hp (252 kW) and 465 Nm (343 lb×ft).
You can switch between different engine operation modes (Sport, Dynamic, and Efficiency) using a dedicated smartphone app called DTE PowerControl. As of recent, the same app even lets you track some of your engine stats in real time.
Owners of the current-gen Mercedes-AMG A 35 may also opt for the DTE PedalBox+ module that adjusts pedal sensitivity and response.
