The Mercedes-AMG lineup has long been missing a comparatively affordable entry – and finally got it with the coming of the A35 (W177). While not nearly as powerful as its 45 and 63 cousins, it retains AMG’s signature character and sportiness.
One of these hatchbacks received an interesting upgrade a couple weeks ago. Its owner shelled out on expensive Ultralight Project 3.0 rims by Barracuda Racing Wheels. The wheel measures only 20 inches across and 8.5 inches wide, but its sophisticated shape and the black finish with slight golden accents make it appear much larger.
This particular A35 also boasts a KW Variant 3 lowering kit that brings it 45 mm (1.8 inches) closer to the ground on the front axle and 35 mm (1.4 inches) on the rear one. Inside, the stock audio system makes room for a high-end Gladen Pro speaker set with Mosconi DACs and amps. Wrapping off the project are separate 4K entertainment displays for both rear passengers.
