Posaidon squeezes 130+ HP out of Mercedes-AMG A-Class’ every cylinder

German tuner Posaidon has unwrapped a tuning plan for the Mercedes-AMG A45 S. The compact car may pack the world’s strongest mass-produced turbo four-pot, but the company found ways to boost it even further than that.

The Posaidon A45 RS 525 gets replacement turbochargers and goes from the original 421 PS (415 hp / 310 kW) to 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW). The torque simultaneously rises to 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). Once tuned, the hot hatch needs 3.4 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill and maxes out at 324 km/h (201 mph).

Realizing that many would feel like driving the upgraded car on the racetrack, Posaidon also came up with the obviously named Tracktool Package. The latter includes a slew of chassis, suspension and brake components that can help you turn your A45 into a road-legal track weapon. The cabin makes do with the deleted rear row and a roll cage.

The team tested the car on the Nürburgring in August (watch the video) and, while no one bothered to keep track of lap times, most of the time the A45 went level with a Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
