Brabus turns the heat up on Mercedes-AMG A45 S

Brabus has revealed its take on the already quite capable Mercedes-AMG A45 S hatchback. Aside from the B45 index, the car received new wheels, interior and even more power.

In its stock guise, the A45 S has the world’s strongest four-cylinder engine for road-legal production cars. Its output usually amounts to 421 PS (415 hp / 310 kW) and 500 Nm (370 lb-ft) of torque. Once tuned up, though, it goes up to 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). This shaves two-tenths of a second off the standard sprint time (3.9s, down to 3.7s). The top speed stays fixed at 270 km/h (168 mph), though. A warranty is included with the tuning that remains valid for 3 years or 100,000 kilometers (62,000 miles) of range.

Customers are also invited to swap the OEM wheels out for 20-inch Brabus rims shod in Continental tires. Shorter suspension springs can drop the ride height by 30 mm (1.2”), and the interior can gain aluminum pedal covers, velour mats and illuminated sills. Those willing to go all-out may even opt for a full leather makeover.
