German tuner Performmaster will be celebrating its 31st anniversary by releasing a limited series of 31 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S Coupé. Each car will get a performance boost to 740 hp (552 kW), a black aero kit, and optimized sports suspension.
The show car you can see here boasts a slide-out rear wing produced by Aersphere. The wing extends automatically when you hit 120 km/h (75 mph) and reportedly makes the car much more stable and manageable on the road. There is also a large, sporty-looking rear diffuser and a front splitter.
The stock engine of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S generally pushes out around 639 hp (477 kW) along with 900 Nm (664 pound-feet) of maximum torque. The upgrade brings it to 740 hp (552 kW) and 1,030 Nm (760 lbft), enabling the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds instead of the stock 3.2s. It also lifts the electronic speed limit completely.
To help you cope with that kind of performance, the tuner fits the coupe with special lowering springs and new shock absorbers. These should make it easier to drive, and at any rate make it look cool. The tuner emphasizes that none of the modifications disturb normal operation of any AMG safety systems or electronic driver aids.
The interior remains largely stock, save for an occasional Performmaster logo here and there and a plaque that says “1 of 31”, hinting at the limited status of the series.
