AMG GT63 4-Door Coupé sheds chrome, gains 24” rims from RDB LA

Los-Angeles-based tuner RDB LA just pushed out another neat tuning project. This time around, it was the Mercedes-AMG GT63 4-Door Coupé (X290) that got the treatment.

The German ride left the garage wrapped in a Red Matte Metallic wrap. The tuner took care to get rid of every last bit of chrome on it, blacking out everything including even the logo and the model name. The Mercedes star was removed from the grille with no apparent replacement provided.

The true highlight of the build still comes in the form of an in-house-designed wheel set. Each wheel is composed of three pieces and boasts matte-black spokes with glossy rims, accentuating the style and luxury of the Stuttgart-born sports car without clashing with them. Thanks to their massive diameter (24 inches!), the wheels had no trouble at all filling out the arches.

Wrapping up the list of mods are Mercedes star hubcaps that remain upright even when the wheels are turning. We have previously seen this on some BMWs and Roll-Royces, but never on a Mercedes.

So, how do you like this one by RDB LA?
