Some time ago, Posaidon has released the Posaidon GT RS 700+ power kit for the street-legal Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R, pushing its engine as high as 780 hp (582 kW). Today, the tuner has raised the plank by launching the Posaidon GT RS 830+ kit promising up to 900 hp (671 kW) and 1,000 Newton-meters (738 pound-feet) of torque.
Not unexpectedly, the upgrade has proven to be quite a difficult task. The team had to design two new bullet-shaped turbochargers from scratch, overhaul the fuel pump and the cylinder assembly, and re-program the ECU.
Posaidon has also improved the stability of the seven-speed DCT transmission, implemented a dry-sump system, and swapped the entire exhaust line out for a new catalyst-based system.
Among other things, the Posaidon GT RS 830+ sports unique Evolution One 20” multi-piece wheels made completely out of carbon fiber. This is the only wheel model on the international market to feature an all-carbon, multi-piece design.
The tuner never mentioned the acceleration performance of the modded Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R or its cost.
