Balls CCG and “Peaches. One Universe” have combined efforts on producing what looks like a street-legal Mercedes-AMG GT3. Let’s see how they fared.
Naturally, they never took an actual GT3 racer as the starting point, because racecars are generally exorbitantly expensive and difficult to convert into road-legal vehicles. Instead, they took a regular Mercedes-AMG GT R. Although calling a supercar with a V8 TT, 585 PS (430 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque under the hood ‘regular’ might be selling it short.
Balls CCG and “Peaches. One Universe” actually designed multiple aggressive-looking body kits for the model, and the video only shows one final example that mimics the GT3 quite closely. Included are a gargantuan front spoiler, four massive canards, cutout wheel arches with larger fenders, side skirt extensions, and much more. The rear end in particular, with its rear wing and diffuser, reminds us of Formula 1 track projectiles. A gorgeous Khaki Green wrap rounds things off nicely.
By the way, the valve-controlled FI Exhaust system isn’t there just for show. The engine received a boost to around 650 PS (480 kW) at the wheels. Given that the stock coupe accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds and maxes out at 318 km/h (197.6 mph), we wonder how much faster this one is.
