Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro by RENNtech gains 669 HP, removable body kit

Experienced Mercedes tuner RENNtech has presented its take on the gorgeous Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro. The sports car left the garage with engine, aerodynamics and handling upgrades.

The GT R Pro – which is limited to just 750 production units, by the way – packs 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) along with 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of maximum torque. RENNtech engineering team takes the 4.0-liter V8 TT to 669 PS (660 hp / 492 kW) and 832 Nm (614 lb-ft), thus putting it ahead of the AMG GT Black Series in terms of torque. Details are few, but we suppose that ECU tuning played a major role.

When designing the aerodynamic kit, the tuner carefully weighed all options and ultimately decided to alter the rear wing and the front fender intakes ever so slightly. Both upgrades are made of carbon fiber and can be removed without damaging the car body. RENNtech claims the front air slits make front axle handling more precise and intuitive.
