The AMG One is finally coming years after its concept version, and the entire production batch has already been sold out in pre-orders. Lewis Hamilton, multiple champion of Formula One, has recently had a chance to drive the hybrid supercar.
The performance and handling left Hamilton very impressed, as did the level of driver’s comfort in the cabin. He concluded that every F1 driver should be dreaming about owning a street-legal ride like this one.
Powering the AMG One is a Mercedes F1 W07 Hybrid powertrain that incorporates a 1.6-liter turbocharged six-cylinder converted from a pure racing engine, as well as four electric motors. The total output exceeds 1,000 PS (1,000 hp / 750 kW, exact figures pending).
