Mercedes-Benz C-Class wagon spied in All-Terrain version

Rumors that a mildly off-road-capable Mercedes-Benz C-Class could be in the works date back several months, but today, the first test vehicle was finally spotted in the streets.

Just like its E-Class sibling, the new All-Terrain seems to have higher road clearance and a plastic body kit. One could speculate that it has the MBUX infotainment system of the new S-Class, a digital dashboard and a wireless gadget charger. Most in-car functions, including climate controls, should be accessible via touchscreen displays.

Nothing is known about the engine lineup of the impending C-Class soft-roader, but gasoline, diesel and hybrid powertrains are equally likely.

The new C-Class will thus probably incorporate five body versions: sedan, coupe, convertible, wagon and All-Terrain.

The premiere should be expected in late 2021 or so.
