Mercedes-Benz has shared two teaser images of its new C-Class sedan and All-Terrain wagon, focusing on their headlights and body silhouettes.
The headlight pic reminds us of the Digital Light setup used in the latest S-Class: holographic lenses can rotate at 2,000 RPM and project warnings onto the road right ahead of the vehicle. It remains to be seen whether the C-Class gets anything like it. The All-Terrain wagon is a first of its kind for the German luxury automaker, while the other three body styles – regular wagon, coupe, and convertible – are nothing new.
Nothing is known about the interior, but we expect it to feature an MBUX infotainment system, a digital dash cluster, and as few hardware controls as possible. Some of the cutting-edge tech of the S-Class will probably trickle down here, such as automated parking, self-driving assist, and the like.
The range will be available exclusively with four-cylinder motors assisted by 48-volt starter-generators. Plug-in hybrids will also be on offer.
The model will officially debut on February 23, 2021. AMG versions should follow later in the year.
