Mercedes-Benz unveiled the next-gen C-Сlass sedan and wagon in February this year (see video for details), along with announcing an All-Terrain version of the wagon. It has now been sighted on the streets.
The high-riding family car wears plenty of disguise, but there is no mistaking a protective body kit underneath. It seems that the C-Class will be getting the same range of off-road options as the E-Class All-Terrain, namely special drive modes, lifted air-ride suspension, and a four-wheel drive system.
Once it reaches the market, the cross-country wagon will have to compete with the likes of Audi A4 Allroad and Volvo V60. Engine options remain to be announced. The standard C-Class ships with hybridized petrol and diesel four-cylinders, as well as a range-topping PHEV rated at 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW).
