In the spring of 2017, German firm Domanig Autodesign released a power upgrade for the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, improving its output by a respectable 200 hp (150 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb×ft) of torque. The car only received a couple discreet exterior upgrades, but the boost kit enabled it to sprint from zero to 200 km/h (124 mph) in less than 10 seconds. Today, the same tuner issued a similar upgrade for the technically identical Mercedes-AMG C63 T.
Once applied, it helps the standard twin-turbo V8 to 730 hp (544 kW) and 980 Nm (723 lb×ft) of torque. As a result, the big estate/wagon sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds and reaches 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.8 s. Simultaneously with this, the tuner raises the electronic speed limit to 320 km/h (199 mph).
Included in the package are an ECU tune, a new sports-grade air filter, a Euro 6 compliant metallic catalyst, twin turbochargers, an intercooler, and downpipes. The latter three items come from IMSA.
The show car rides on a set of Domanig D-Ultralight Five Twin Spoke Black Edition wheels measuring 20 inches across, and takes advantage of KW / JRZ aftermarket suspension parts.
Domanig Autodesign never revealed the cost of the package.
