This footage shows what happened in Rotterdam, Netherlands this weekend, when a man driving a Mercedes-AMG C63 S felt like showing off his drifting skills. It did not go too well.
Just in case you forgot, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S only has different bumpers, exhaust tips, wheels and badges to tell it from the regular C-Class sedan/saloon. However, the looks are particularly deceptive in this case, since the C63 S packs 510 horses (380 kW) under the hood and comes rear-axle driven, which makes it a superb car to drift with even on dry asphalt.
In the end, it was the lack of drifting experience that ruined the day for the hapless driver. Desperately trying to set the car straight after putting it into the curve, he braked hard and slammed it side-on against a tree.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.
