H&R launches lowering springs for the entire Mercedes C63/C63S AMG lineup

There is little disputing the fact that the twin-turbo V8 mill all 63 AMG models come with brings driving enjoyment to a whole new level. Extremely powerful and responsive, it is often sought after by those who pick their cars based on their personality, rather than practicality. That said, you cannot downplay the role of the suspension, either.

This is something H&R understands well. A few days ago, the German aftermarket suspension designer has launched lowering springs compatible with the entire Mercedes C63/C63S AMG range, including coupe, T-Model (estate/wagon), and roadster versions. The fixed-height springs cost €443 per set and result in a 20mm (0.8”) reduction in ride height. The coilovers will set you back €800, but they enable lowering the front axle by any amount between 25 to 40 mm (1” – 1.6”) and the rear axle by 15 – 30 mm (0.6” – 1.2”).

The coilovers are only compatible with cars produced between 2015 and June 2018 and equipped with the AMG Ride Control system.

Once upgraded, the C63 wins both in style and in cornering performance. Since the standard shocks aren’t going anywhere, the comfort shouldn’t be compromised too much.
