Used Brabus 650 C63 S goes on sale for 2x the price of a new one

Brabus may be a name with a big reputation in the tuning community, but will it be enough to convince someone to hand over €162k for an almost-but-not-quite-new Mercedes-AMG C63 S?

To put things into perspective, you could obtain a similarly featured 2020 C63 S for around €85,000 right now. Aside from Mercedes levels of comfort and luxury, you would be looking at a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 good for 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. Floor the gas, and you will hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just four seconds.

The Brabus option is predictably more powerful with 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 820 Nm (605 lb-ft) of torque. Having said that, it is only one-third of a second faster to 100 km/h than the OEM car.

The deal includes a flashy-looking carbon-fiber body kit consisting of a front spoiler lip, side sill extensions, fender and bumper inserts, a diffuser, a spoiler, and badges. Wheels and brake calipers are likewise new. The interior stays largely stock except for smaller details, such as paddle shifters, aluminum pedal pads, and floor mats.

With 7,000 kilometers (4,350 miles) on the counter, this specific Brabus 650 C63 S falls under the “barely driven” category, but is it worth twice the price of a new C-Class to you?
