Manhart has announced a large-scale customization of the W205 Mercedes-AMG C63 S estate equipped with a petrol V8. Called the CR 700 Wagon, it could be the last gas-powered V8 C-Class before a hybrid four-pot comes to replace it.
The main course is a four-liter twin-turbo V8 that gets boosted from its usual 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) to 712 PS (702 hp / 524 kW). The torque simultaneously rises from 700 to 920 Nm (516 to 679 lb-ft), unlocking a 100-200 km/h (62-124 mph) sprint in just 5.5 seconds. This is accomplished through the installation of a carbon-fiber air intake system, new turbos, intercoolers and fuel pump, as well as transmission tweaks.
On the outside, there is no mistaking a Manhart project car thanks to the trademark black-and-gold paint scheme and a custom radiator grille. The suspension is lower than stock and 20-inch Concave One wheels fill out the arches wrapped in performance rubber.
The interior makes do without modifications, but you can always ask Manhart for a complete overhaul. The pricing is not yet there, but the tuner’s official website asks €18,000 for the complete engine tune.
