Media learned long ago that Mercedes-Benz Vans intended to switch its entire model range to pure electric power. The next-gen Citan will be allowed to keep its IC engine for the time being, but a battery counterpart named eCitan will be available alongside it. Here’s what it looks like.
The company first showed us a teaser image last year, and now follows up with four officially sanctioned ‘spy pics’. The prototype vehicle is shown connected to a charging station via a charging port in its nose, where the Mercedes logo usually is.
The premiere is expected to take place sometime in the second half of 2021.
