Mercedes-Benz has recently revealed several photos featuring the next generation of its CLA sedan. The car will celebrate its official premiere at the CES show in Las-Vegas starting soon.
The new CLA series is based on the MFA architecture and packs sporty-looking bumpers, a slanting roof, and boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. According to the manufacturer, the CLA will be ‘the most emotional’ vehicle in its category.
The car will also feature Interior Assistant, a smart system that will be able to turn on additional lighting when necessary, recognize and react to driver’s gestures, and more. It will only work when the car is parked, though.
The upcoming new series will take advantage of the trademark Mercedes dual display combining the digital dashboard and the infotainment screen into a single unit.
No official engine specs exist to date, but rumor has it that the car will ship with a choice between a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 220 hp (164 kW) and a stronger engine rated at 306 hp (228 kW).
