In a purely terminological sense, the Mercedes CLA35 AMG is an entry-level model, but the closer you look at it, the less you see that’s ‘entry-level’. No wonder Y&R decided to release a set of shortened suspension springs for the compact coupe.
According to the manufacturer, the upgrade is compatible with the entire W177 generation and works fine with AMG Ride Control shocks. Once installed, the springs drop the ride height by 25 mm (1”) at the front and 15 mm (0.6”) in the back, enabling sharper cornering. The asking price in Germany is €333.
Those willing to swap out the stock wheels for aftermarket rims will want to order Trak+ wheel spacers along with the springs. Prices start from €47 for a 6 mm (0.2”) increase in track width.
