Speed-Buster has launched a power upgrade for the Mercedes-Benz CLS 400d (C257). The diesel version of the luxury sedan/saloon turned out surprisingly well-suited for performance tuning.
In its stock form, the car’s six-cylinder diesel engine (OM 656 D 29 SCR) delivers up to 340 hp (261 kW) along with an impressive 700 Nm (516 lb×ft) of torque. Once upgraded, it ascends to 402 hp (300 kW) and 768 Nm (566 lb×ft). This brings it on par with the CLS 450 4MATIC and even well above the AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ in terms of peak torque.
Speed-Buster did not go into much detail about the tune, but mentioned that the car now concludes the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 4.6 – 4.8 second range. The factory standard is five seconds flat.
Also on offer for the Mercedes-Benz CLS 400d (C257) is the tuner’s trademark PedalBox module said to improve throttle response.
